Hey guys! It's that time of year again! We wanted to share what we picked out during "back to school" shopping in a school clothes haul / try on / lookbook video. Be sure to leave a comment letting us know which grade you are in this year and which dance move is your favorite. ;) My daughter will be going to high school as a Sophomore this year!

6 Cute Back To School Outfit Ideas, Nothing Over $30
We did some "back to school shopping" recently, as school is (unfortunately) quickly approaching again! It's becoming a yearly tradition for us to take a small break from our usual hair tutorials and share what she picked out for her school clothes in a clothing haul / try on video. Be sure to leave us a comment letting us know which outfit in her collection is your favorite. And, we would love to know what fashion trends, items, or styles you are loving this year as well!
Our goal was to try and only purchase reasonably priced items (hopefully on sale, or cheap to begin with) but to still find cute, modest, and high quality pieces that will hopefully last throughout the year. She managed to not go over $30 on anything, even shoes/boots, which I thought was pretty great.

Back To School Clothes Challenge
Hope you guys don't mind, but we wanted to change things up a bit this week with a fun clothing haul / shopping / fashion video instead of our usual hair stuff. ;) School is going to be starting here soon, so we recently went school shopping. We thought some of you might be interested in seeing what "The Princess" chose for her school clothes this year. After all, we both enjoy watching shopping and haul videos ourselves from time to time!
We have 3 school age children / teens in our family who all have outgrown most of their clothing and need new outfits for school. So, it is obviously essential for us to set a shopping budget to avoid taking out a second mortgage. ;) We decided to make this a fun challenge to see if she could find 5 outfits (including shoes) for a predetermined amount of $175. "The Princess" hunted and found some good deals and clothes that she loves and actually came in under budget!
Her new wardrobe includes: Several pairs of leggings, overalls, classic black pants, a 1 piece jumper / romper, 2 sweaters, 1 long sleeve shirt, and 1 flowy blouse with a matching tank top. She also found 1 pair of boots, some ballet flats, and some converse shoes. I think she did well to find a mix of casual clothes along with some nicer outfits.
List of stores we shopped at:
Old Navy
Burlington Coat Factory
TJ Maxx
Ross
I'm curious..... Do you have a tradition to go "back to school shopping" each year? Or do you buy things as you need them (and not all at once?) Do you wear uniforms at your school? Leave a comment below.

Back To School Clothes
This past weekend at our house was spent going back to school shopping, which has been fun... but also exhausting! I'm sure those of you with school aged kids know what I mean.
The weekend before our big shopping trip, we cleaned out everyone's closets. We have 3 children (the princess and 2 boys) in our family, and can you believe between the 3 of them, not one pair of pants fits anyone? Each child has grown a couple of inches over the summer!
Back to having 3 kids..... we wanted to find some cute/fashionable but inexpensive clothes. As you are all well aware of, back to school fees/school supplies/shoes/lunches/backpacks/clothing/etc. all add up fast. So, we are shopping on a budget here!
Please enjoy a short hiatus from hairstyling with a fun "back to school fashion / clothing haul / look book video" featuring "the princess" and her new school clothes:
I have to say, shopping for a girl is more fun than shopping for a boy (just my opinion) but also more expensive. My boys are happy with 1 pair of shoes, some basic jeans, basketball shorts, and t-shirts. Girls are a bit... more tricky. ;)
The clothes featured in our video were purchased from the following stores:
TJ Maxx
Ross
GAP
Kmart
Target
