Elegant Textured Updo, Easy Hair Tutorial

You may recognize the first few steps in this video tutorial (below) from our pinwheel bun shortcut video that we posted a few weeks ago. Although both hairstyles are started the same way, the end results are completely different. We love that both of these buns are fairly quick and easy to make, with minimal braiding skills required!

This textured updo has an elegant, romantic, glamorous (almost Audrey Hepburn) feel to it and would be great for many formal or special occasions;  Weddings, Prom, Homecoming, dances, church, recitals, communions, baptisms, holidays, etc. I'm thinking this would also be an adorable hairstyle for Valentine's Day!

Supplies needed to recreate this hairstyle:

• 2 medium size ponytail holders or hair elastics.
• Temporary hair clip or hair tie to keep the braids from unraveling while you work.
• Several bobby pins
• Finishing hair spray or gel (optional)

If you wanted to, you could add a fun hair clip or other sparkly accessory for some extra glam.
