Woven Piggies

Here's another cute weaving style.

Make some pigtails, leaving out 2 rectangular boxes, one on each side of the part at the crown ..............

Make some sections in the box on one side of the part. Twist them and add them to the pig on the other side.
Do the same thing in the other box. This time weave the sections through the first twists on your way over to the other pig.
Make some messy piggies and you're done!

This took about 20 minutes.

I have to laugh really hard about this. I was at a whole different sight I started following recently- not hair related at all and they posted about this hair do. I thought I had missed it from your site. Turns out she whipped this one right out and posted how cute she thought it was right away--- I didn't miss a thing! You have fans eagerly awaiting more from you! And quick to publish the results. GO YOU!!!

I just have to tell you how much I love your blog. I am trying to be patient as I wait for my daughter's hair to get long enough to do the beautiful weaving you do! Also, I love the heart. I do a french braid in a heart and sometimes it's just too much, so I love the idea of just doing the elastics, so cute and a better overall shape, too. Do you have one with ribbon in it? I would really like to practice that for Valentine's Day. Thanks!

Camille, How funny that you would ask about the ribbon. I actually have one with ribbon I plan on posting at some point. I also have one with french braids, probably similar to yours. You'll have to let me know if you do it the same way (after I post it.) And, I agree-sometimes those braids can take forever!

Thanks everyone for your nice comments!
Hipmom-my daughter is acutally more patient than I am. She will sit still forever! I'm usually the one who ends up throwing a tantrum once in awhile.

So cute!! I tried "my version" of your woven piggies today. I couldn't figure out how to keep all the twists twisted tight, so I did tiny braids instead. Thanks for doing these - I love it all!!!

Thanks! I haven't done my daughter's hair daily in years. After listening to me go on and on for 2 days, she relented and let me do her hair today...I didn't do the messy buns, her hair is thick and past her waist. I think my twists are a little too fat, but it works :) We're redoing it tomrrow and then curling the piggies :) Thanks again!!

I am new to this blog. I was referred here by a woman from church. I loved her daughters' hair dos and she told me she gets a lot of ideas from you. When I saw this do on the home page, I had to try it. It is so cute and really pretty easy. Thanks and keep up the good work. I saw that you may quit doing this because of school starting. Since I am new, I def wouldn't mind seeing your old stuff. I also like that you posted a quick 5 min do. I know I need quick ideas for when I am in a rush. Please don't stop. Thanks again.
