Ribbon Heart Half Ponytail Hairstyle

This will most likely be our last Valentine's Day Hairstyle post this year. (Even though it was actually done last year.) I think it's my favorite one too. Simple and sweet. :)

Make a half pony. Split in half and braid each side.
Form a heart shape. I didn't do step by step instructions for the sewing. Go to this sewn heart hairstyle if you need help with that. Start at the bottom, by the elastic and just wrap the ribbon around the braid until you get up to the point where the heart is sitting on top of the half pony. That is where you start the actual sewing. Grab as much hair with your stitches as you can because the ribbon at the top is holding the heart onto her head and also forming the shape.
So, in this picture only the top 8 stitches (4 on each side) are actually sewn to her hair. The rest of the ribbon is just wrapped around the braid on each side. Does that make any sense?ribbon heart hair

This one was fairly quick. We were done in 12 minutes.

  1. Hi,

I love your hair styles and wanted tp thank u for the website. I noticed ur blurb about people stealing your photos of your kids and believe me I understand. I have some coding you can use to disable right clicks on your blog. I have done this on mine. It stops people from right clicking my pics and choosing save as or copy or whatever. It may not help too much I don't know but it makes me feel better lol. Anyway let me know if you want the coding.

  2. Adorable hairstyle! I've found that if you do a reverse pull-through on the ponytail before you start braiding, it makes it much easier to form the heart shape.

As for the code... be careful with disabling ALL right-clicks. I follow a couple of hair blogs that do that, and I never follow any links on their pages, because I can't use right-click to open the link in a new window (or new tab). :/
I've read that there's a way to disable right-clicking on pictures only, but unfortunately I don't know how to do it.

  3. Connie and Christy, I appreciate the help! I actually had the right click disabling code on this blog before, but I found that people were able to click on the picture to enlarge it and then right click from there. Also Christy as you said, I didn't like that it disabled ALL right clicks for links and everything else.. If anyone knows the code for disabling the clicks just on the pictures I would love it!

Thanks for watching out for me girls!!
