The Heart Hairstyle

This is one of our favorites. My daughter asks for "a heart in her hair" quite often. I actually have several different variations of it sitting in my hair folder. Hopefully I'll get around to posting them soon.

Start with the parts. Make one in the middle on the top. One from ear to ear. And, 2 diagonal parts going from the middle to the front of her head on both sides.

This picture is to show you where to start. As you can see, one side is finished and I'm just starting on the other side. I think it's pretty self explanatory from here.......................

All finished! At this point, we just waited for it to dry and added some curls.

  2. Gorgeous, as usual!! How do you get your daughter's hair to stay curled for more than a nanosecond after you do it??

  3. Strommer Family, I spray each piece with with a little hairspray right before I curl it, then spray it all again when I'm done. But, the real secret........If you use a flattening iron to curl it instead of a curling iron, it stays in much longer.

  4. VERY cute! I'll have to see if I can actually figure it out and then see if Sammy can sit still long enough.

  6. Lurker here, but I just had to say that just the other day when my 7 year old niece was staying the night she asked for a "heart" in her hair and I had no clue how to go about it - so I just wanted to say thanks for the "clue" on how to do it!!! That is a really pretty hair style!
