French Braid Heart Hairstyle

I've been working on getting a Valentines Day post ready to go. Here's a little preview for those of you who can't wait...... I didn't do step by step pics for this one. It's basically this heart hairstyle, just French Braided instead of Elastic Braided.

Don't mind the wet hair here. We were in a hurry to get out the door for church. If I would have had time, it would be curled and so much cuter. But, you get the basic idea.. right? The next day I left the braids in and pulled everything else back into a messy bun. It looked adorable. I should have taken pictures, but I didn't. Anyway, that's another option with this hairstyle.

Whould you like to comment?

  1. I just started to learn how to french braid. I'm so impressed with your french braiding. I have no idea how you get it so tight and perfect. Maybe someday!

  7. Your blog absolutely fascinated me. I have two daughters. On the days I get my older daughter ready for school, I stress over doing her hair. I just know I am going to do a bad job, and all I do is a basic ponytail (with two ties, because her hair is like her mom's, with insane tensile strength that defies a single tie).

I wish it was in the realm of possibility for me to do anything that looked even moderately nice.

Do you know any simple ones? Like a post for Dad's? :)

    Thanks!

  10. Oh I wish I knew about this when my daughter was young! Too awesome! Now her hair is too short, maybe when she grows it out she'll let me try. Nah probably not. You do an awesome job, your daughter must be envied by the other girls at school.

  18. I love this blog! I also love new hairstyles and these have really inspired me. I have used this heart style for years on my little sister and now my own daughters. Have you tried bring hair in only from one side of the braid (the side closest to the middle part of her head)? I makes the same heart shape but gives it a slightly different look. Love, love, love your styles!

  19. My daughter is currently growing out her bangs, so I'm always on the lookout for styles that will keep them out of the way. This is PERFECT!! We'll definitely be dpoing this one soon!
