I did it with about the same amount of hair at the top today... instead of parting ear to ear... and it worked better... I got the pony even higher, so the heart looked PERFECT all day long... the last time, it kind of sagged halfway through the day.

I did a reverse pull-through, though, because I figured (and was right) that with less length to work with, it made it easier to keep

this is a great one... I found with bangs that we're growing out and the hair only being a couple inches below her shoulders... I had to do a part from ear to ear first... that kept everything in the pull through long enough to connect the braids to...

and I did the low pony higher (more typical pony height) so the braids would be heart shaped...

I really love the look of this one... I'm going to try it out tomorrow... see if my daughter's hair is long enough... but this one looks very doable with shorter hair as long as you make the heart the right size and use bands to section off the hair to get it up into a puffy braid up till that point...

I think the only thing that may be confusing is you say to include the top 1/2 pony in the low pony. Then it is confusing when you try to say to lock the top of the heart with the hair from the top pony. The video explains it perfect! Thanks!
